Full contents of the Inventor's Kit that's included with the pi-top [3].
- pi-top PROTO+
-
- A super-charged breadboard that allows you to build and connect electronic devices to your pi-top. Simply slide onto the Modular Rail and go!
- LEDs Red, Yellow, and Green
-
- 2 pin LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are little devices that emit light when an electric current flows through them.
- Light Sensor
- Detects the amount of light. Useful for robots to interact with their environment.
- Metal Wire & Jumper Cables
- Electricity can flow through it, you can use it for all sorts of projects.
- Resistor
- Controls the amount of electricity that flows through a circuit.
- Temperature Sensor
- This will change its resistance depending on the temperature around it.
- Ultrasonic Sensor
- Measures the distance to an object by using an ultrasonic pulse.
- Sound Sensor
- Measures and reacts to changes in volume.
- Capacitor
- An electrical component that stores electric charge a little bit like a battery.
- Button
- Allows or blocks the electricity flow around a circuit.
- Variable Resistor
- Allows you to control the amount of electricity that flows through it.
- Buzzer
- Will make a loud noise when electricity is passed through it.
- The pi-topPROTO+ is a prototyping board for all your inventions. The breadboard, the white section in the middle, is where you connect the components from your Inventor's Kit.
- The GPIO (general purpose input output) pins are a bridge between the components on the breadboard and the Raspberry Pi.
